NEW CONCESSIONS DEAL BETWEEN MALLOY AND LABOR: NO LAYOFFS, NO FURLOUGHS, WAGE FREEZES; DOES IT ADD UP?

Gov. Dannel Malloy says the tentative concessions deal his administration has reached state employee labor unions will save the state $1.6 billion over the next two years. The Shad is loath to say it, but “the devil’s in the details.” More to come.
