Gov. Dannel Malloy, in the midst of selling his education reform plan to the people of the state, will talk education on national TV tomorrow morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” Malloy has been racking up multiple national appearances lately. However, this one could be contentious and likely entertaining because Malloy’s adversary, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is also appearing on the show. The MSNBC “Morning Joe” blog does not indicate whether they will appear together. They will not.
“Morning Joe” will be on location from a high school in Fort Lee, New Jersey and both Malloy and Christie will be there, on-set as opposed to appearing remotely, according to Gov. Christie’s office (Interesting, The Shad got this information from Christie’s office and MSNBC. Emailed and phone request for information from Malloy’s office went unreturned) Other guests on the “education edition” of the show are Delaware’ Democratic Gov. Jack Markell and former Washington, DC Schools Superintendent Michelle Rhee.
Malloy and Christie’s verbal battles and rivalry are becoming entertaining to political observers.
