Gov. Dannel Malloy is expecting a report today from Public Safety Commissioner Reuben Bradford on the controversy over giving state troopers incentives to write more speeding tickets. An internal state police memo surfaced last week that encouraged the troopers to increase the number of tickets they write.
Malloy ordered the probe after the memo came to light. One could certainly conclude that the governor has bigger things to worry about—gasoline prices, the state budget, and the rest of the legislative session.
