Feds Unlikely to Act to Influence Aug. 14th Primary

Gov. Dannel Malloy gently suggested Tuesday that the US Attorney push along the investigation into Chris Donovan’s congressional campaign so voters can know before the primary election whether Donovan is a target of the investigation. But the feds are unlikely to act to influence any election according to an insider who knows the process.

The insider tells The Hanging Shad the grand jury and federal investigators are well aware of the impending primary but will be very careful with any information released so as not to directly influence the election.

Malloy is no fan of Donovan and has expressed strong concern about the seriousness of the charges against eight people in the probe including Donovan’s former campaign manager Josh Nassi.
