The guy went to prison for corruption and was the main figure in one of the most drama-filled era in state politics. Both facts mean former Governor John Rowland will likely get good ratings for his stint as a fill-in radio talk show host on WTIC-AM. WNPR host and Courant columnist Colin McEnroe makes a good case as to why people will listen. The Shad of course, was the permanent guest host for McEnroe when he had a show on WTIC-AM. And having had my own morning show (WRKI-FM, “I-95”,
Danbury/Bridgeport), I know the ups and downs of doing such a show. Sometimes it’s ego-fulfilling, sometimes you want to run and hide under the nearest table. Either way, The Shad will be listening to Rowland.
