Things Look Somewhat Normal…At Least on the Outside

While the investigation into the Boston Marathon bombing continues there were a few somewhat positive signs in the city Tuesday. The Shad spent some time in the North End Tuesday afternoon and I was encouraged by some of the small things.

Along Memorial Drive, runners were enjoying the nice spring weather, making their way along the Charles. On Hanover Street—home to many of the great Italian restaurants in Boston—was busy with tourists and residents mixing together to make a nice, friendly crowd.

Things were also busy near the TD Garden and Zakim-Bunker Hill Bridge. I pulled over to snap this.

While things looked normal on the outside, there is no doubt it will take time to heal from this one. We’re all praying.
