Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley is going to great lengths to show he is not Linda McMahon in pants or even Mitt “47 percent” Romney. He desperately wants to show he is not a disconnected multimillionaire whose idea of a “person of color” is someone who got a good suntan from lying out on his 125-foot yacht.
First we have Foley trying to show how strong and robust he is (and hanging with minorities!).
And of course, we have the cringe-worthy “man on the street” interviews:
Perhaps Foley should spend a little more time giving voters at least a few specifics on where he stands on the important issues facing the state rather than trying to prove he is like you and me.
